- 63.38 percent of Softline shares transferred from S.K.MB to Softline International // Softline AG and Softline International plan joint international growth
Leipzig, April 14, 2021 - Softline AG, parent company of the internationally active IT consulting company Softline Group, with a focus on IT and Software Asset Management, Cloud and Future Datacentre, Information and IT Security as well as Digital Workplace, announces a change in its main shareholder structure.
As early as December 10, 2020, the main shareholder S.K. Management- und Beteiligungsgesellschaft GmbH (S.K.MB) signed an agreement on the sale of its stake in Softline AG (63.38 percent) to the global IT company Softline International, headquartered in London. The transfer of shares (closing) was completed on April 07, 2021 and is thus legally effective with immediate effect.
„We would like to thank S.K.MB for the many years of trustful cooperation. At the same time, we are looking forward to opening up further international markets together with our new main shareholder Softline International - with which we have a global IT services company with around 4,500 employees in 50 countries at our side. In recent months, we have already begun to drive forward joint projects in which we have been able to profitably contribute our extensive expertise and experience, particularly in the area of Software Asset Management, but also in our other core portfolio areas. The close cooperation with Softline International will provide the Softline Group with access to new regions, markets and customers in the future and thus new opportunities for growth and development. For our main shareholder Softline International, the investment is also an important strategic step towards Europe and thus towards further globalization of the business in the core markets of the Softline Group", says Martin Schaletzky, CEO of Softline AG.
