Softline Group continues their SAM activities within the Belgian and Luxembourg market

• Addressing the Belgian and Luxembourg market directly through Softline Solutions N.V.

• ASIST BVBA and ASIST SARL no longer part of the Softline Group, but stays as strategic partner

Zaventem, 15 July 2013 – The international Softline Group, IT specialist focused on cloud enabling, will further extend their current Software Asset Management (SAM) activities within the Belgian and Luxembourg market. Softline Solutions N.V. started addressing the Belgian market in 2011. Due to the group-wide success in the area of Software Asset Management, enlarging their current presence in this region and distributing its SAM portfolio directly by Softline Solutions N.V. is a logic result. As from now, Softline Group will focus their efforts in BENELUX based on the SAM portfolio. As a consequence of this strategy for the Belgian and Luxembourg market, the companies ASIST BVBA and ASIST SARL will no longer be part of the Softline Group with immediate effect.

The international success of their Software Asset Management expertise, as part of Softline Group’s cloud enabling portfolio, and the presence as a local SAM market leader for predominantly all of the Softline subsidiaries, formed a good base for the strategic decision to extend the current SAM activities within Belgium and Luxembourg via Softline Solutions N.V. The new Managing Director of the subsidiary will be Leo Meijer.

“We have decided that from now on Softline Solutions N.V. will focus on Software Asset Management whereas ASIST will continue to support customers with their recognized expertise in the field of Enterprise Modernization. As a logical consequence, ASIST is separated from the Softline Group and will stay as a strategic partner to the Softline Group.”, explains Sokrates Koutounidis, CEO of Softline AG. “Within the Softline portfolio strategy, we mainly focus on our long-term profitable core competencies and thus especially market our expertise within the fields of Software Asset Management and IT Infrastructure services such as Unified Communications, IT-Security, Virtualization, Systems Management and Managed IT Services. With regards to the years of experience Leo Meijer has in the SAM environment, I am confident he is the right person to further develop the activities within the BENELUX market.”, says Sokrates Koutounidis.
